Lyndon Auvil, owner of T.R.O., generated the fledgling business out of concern that people in the North Central WV area need not travel far to enjoy the same thrill of the river as in Fayette County.
“We have the same white water experience, right here in our own back yards.”   Auvil is working on increasing his knowledge in white water raft and kayak guiding by attending the prestigious NOC White Water guide School in Bryson City, NC on the Nantahala River. He completed the Guide School requirements in 2016 and he is going back to renew his certification in the Spring of 2018.

Leticia Riddle, an experienced raft guide, will be joining the T.R.O. staff for the 2017 season. Educational kayaking classes and many different river trip options will be available for the new season.  Watch for Classes and River Trip Options that will be offered.

Leticia has experience working for the following White Water Companies: Adirondack Adventures, Big Frog Expedition, South Eastern Expeditions, and Songer Whitewater.

Bucky Bukowitz is a senior at WVWC and  hails from Mariottsville, Md.   Bucky helped with T.R.O. adventures last season.   This year Bucky has signed up to bike across the country with the 4K Cancer Organization to increase cancer awareness.  When Bucky returns from his trek across the country, we’re looking forward to his assistance with T.R.O. once again.

Shelley Phillips has been the chief leader in all moonlight trips down the river. Shelley is busy as a wife and mother of two preschool daughters. In spite of her busy domestic duties, she seems to always have time to hit the water when needed.  T.R.O. is proud to have Shelley on our team.
